Normally I highlight a sandwich I cant be without. This week I have one that just isnt up to par. You have to choose if you like or dont like. I know some of you hard core patrons will say the Dude is wrong. Thats ok too. Its Blackies hot dogs in Cheshire Ct. Very mediocre, nothing special and not worth the drive.

Blackie burger. My friend Ken said it was like having a burger from the school cafeteria. I hate to give out a bummer award but I expected better.

These are baked oysters. I know that during happy hour at Coconuts my friend Byron is serving oysters. You can have them made simply raw and on the 1/2 shell but if you know enought to ask he will make them baked with a garlic butter and covered in parmesan cheese.

I have  many request for Utica New York style tomato pie. Well here it is and it is available at Mercolino's bakery on Columbus Ave. right here in the South End of Springfield, Ma. At only $1.50 a square get a couple. Tell Joanne and Pete you found it here.
